Mechanics - The study of objects and how they move. Or, just as important, how they don't move. Because the topic of Mechanics covers such a broad area, we have broken it down into further units of study. You can see these units listed on the left side of this page. Clicking on one of those units will take you to a new page with a brief description of the unit, some useful formulas, and the various lessons taught under that unit. For example, selecting Motion in One Dimension will take you to a page that will then direct you to the various lessons: Reference Frames, Distance and Displacement, Speed and Velocity, Acceleration, and Acceleration Under a Constant Force (Gravity). Selecting one of those lessons will then provide the daily lesson, generally in both text and video form, as well as some homework questions. Often, links to areas of further review will be provided.
